Ok the much anticipated pictures from bayeux are up. Well, not all are up- but we are out of London pics- so I will begin updating Bayeux regularly.
Bayeux is close to where the allies invaded on D-day. It was a very interesting place to visit. But oh so cold.
I stayed in a Family Run hostile. It was nice, but there were some weirdos staying there. Some lady who looked like an American bag lady. And some texan kid who is studying in Oxford for the year. He told me how Prague was pretty but dangerous because in one day he got asked if he would like to buy sex and drugs! Oh no?

I hate to just blog and say there are more pictures. But there are.

In other news, we are having a good time here with the Santas. Maryann and Staci have been working Centenial while Todd & Frank drink beer. Ah the good life.

I also had some desktops published at Mac desktops in the last two weeks. Stop by the desktop section for links to those and the other new desktops.

Chuck yelled at me for not mentioning that there are new pictures of the cats. Emma is a boy Kurbis is still a boy.
I have also changed the photography section to reflect the Afropean tour as well as added more London, Africa, and Paris pictures. Check back soon for a new section on my visit to Normandy and the D-Day beaches.

Many new pictures are up. Some of my favorite from Chuck's tailor's house are up. There was one boy that was particularly cute who loved to have his picture taken.
I have also put up pictures of Staci's parents from their current visit. These are under the personal section- Todd & Staci. Don't Frank & Maryann look happy in our warm weather?

There are pictures under the Senegal section of the Marabu boys. They deserve a blog. See each family is expected to give one son to the Marabu, who is like a priest. The boys study the Koran all day and eventually walk about asking for money that they give the Marabu. In return he feeds them and educates them. I am not sure this is a great deal. But they look happy enough.

Pictures pictures gallor. I have also added some new desktops made from art and photography taken on the trip.
I received an email from a friend today who spent some time in the ocean over the holiday break. We both feel there is somthing special about swimming in the ocean that can not be replicated by the wave pool at the local water park. Bethany and I particularly enjoyed the large waves in Senegal. We body surfed until sand was deep in every crevis of our bodies. It was also odd being on the eastern side of the atlantic, knowing the americas were out there somwhere.
Where is your favorite place to swim?

As promised new pictures are up again. Today brings pictures from our trip to the Louvre (under the Paris section of course). Poor Chuck just wanted to see Islamic and African art at the Louvre. But both were closed that day. Later in the trip she went to the African art museum- it too was closed. Hmm... smells of a conspiracy to me.
The Senegal section has the first pictures from Koalack and Chucks apartment. The mural of Utah is not to be missed. Does anyone else think its a sign that a recovering mormon should move into an apartment with a mural of utah??? Its like a sign!

Well, I am into the swing of things again. Today I started studying for a final that was delayed due to the trip. Between you and me, I have no idea what that class was about.
I have put even more pictures of the trip up today. So much happened it is hard to express it all, even in pictures. One part of the trip that is now up under the Senegal section is the drive to Koalack. You can't understand what transportation is like in Senegal. To get from Dakar to Koalack we had to take a cab. But its all negotiation over the price of luggage, how many people go, and then when you leave. Even after that its crazy! The driver always drives on the white line and 1 cm from the back of the car in front of you. But on this trip we made it without event. Our next car trip did not go so smoothly. Stay tuned...

I am back in Paris. Its so damn cold here. It was even colder in Bayeax however. I did not get to see the tapestry as it is closed one week a year and i ^picked that week. But I did see the D day museum and get a personal tour of the region and the two american beaches. It was moving to think what happened there over 50 years ago. Of course now right next to Omaha beach where over one thousand men were killed in a matter of minutes, is Omaha beach Gold resort. No one will deny the Americans invaded.

I am so pissed. I got busted for riding the metro without a ticket. But I had one. I left it in the turn style when it let me out. Then the guy asked for my ticket. Then I got hauled away, it was scarey. Then they made me pay 40. Then Beth found my tiecket and started yelling at them. To no avail.

London was nice, but no Royam sightings.
