I have had a depressing two days. I discovered yesterday that I have deleted my "memoirs" which were a collection of all emails and journal entries back through 1990. Today I learned I had no back ups.

On a similar intospective note, I learned from John's page of a web site where you can learn of your name. Here is what they said about me:

Your name of Todd creates a quick, clever mind capable of grasping and assimilating new ideas. You are rather studious, mentally challenging each new idea before accepting it. Because you learn so quickly you have little patience with those whose mental processes are somewhat slower, and you could become supercilious or somewhat "know it all" in your attitude. This characteristic could make you rather unpopular with your associates. Although you are very knowledgeable and intelligent, you often find spontaneous verbal expression difficult. You crave friendship, understanding, love, and affection abut your reserved manner appears forbidding to others. You can give expression to your personal thoughts and feelings most fluently through the written word. You have a sensitive nature--sensitive to your environment and particularly sensitive to how your deeper and more serious interests are regarded by others. Your feelings are very easily hurt and to protect yourself you withdraw within the realms of your own private thoughts and shut out the rest of the world. Moods, which are your worst enemy, result. Your sensitivity and lack of verbal expression frustrate and limit the satisfaction in life to be gained from your responsible and capable nature. Health problems arise due to worry and a sensitivity in the respiratory area which could lead to problems with the heart, lungs, or bronchial organs.

A piece of advice. When making a pizza and you go to the store to get the cheese. Make sure you have flour for the dough. And when you go back for a second trip to get the dough- make sure you have the sauce...

How do you travel? I am a bit of an anal traveler. I need an itinerary broken down by the hour and sometimes color coded by activity type. Others just play it by ear. Someone I know had a flight yesterday. Originally when asked what time the flight left they reply, "around 9 pm". Hmm that is pretty late. They would be arriving into a big city late at night and far from home. I was told not to worry as a bus went right from the arrival aiport to the home. It was also a short trip.
Well it turns out upon checking the actual day of travel the flight leaves at 6:30pm not 9. Hmm glad we checked. Then this person discovers they are landing at a different airport from the one expected only while in flight! Needles to say it was not a short trip from home and not a direct bus ride. But all ended well after a night in the airport. All I can say is had the initerary been color coded, none of this would have happened.

Taste and computers? I am ever amazed that people with excellent taste in architecture, cloths, men, women, art, etc... can have such bad taste in computers. I man I know with exquisite taste in all of the above except perhaps women just told me he has bought a new Dell laptop... tsk tsk. It really is a shame the PowerBook would have matched his BMW roadster perfectly.

Why are license bureaus full of the freakiest looking people? There are many nice looking people in the world, but they must not drive. Do they send ugly people to renew their registration and get plates? Its just scary at the Tucson branch of the Arizona Department of transportation also known as ADOT. The best example was the lady in a hot pink leisure suit. When she walked her left leg stepped as normal- but her right leg lifted high into the air as if she was marching. I was also amazed at the families in there. Sure the parent and little kid are to be expected. Why get a baby sitter for a small trip to the license bureau. But there were entire families in there today: two parents, the kids- who were of the 15-18 year range. One group even appeared to have cousins in toe. I know there is little to do in this town- but a days fun at ADOT seems a bit much. Perhaps they come to look at all the freaks

I have been pleased to see a number of people reading and commenting on the page. After a month of no updates and few hits the page is up and running. Even better Macdesktops which was down for 2 months is back and churning out the hits. I welcome all the people who have some over from Macdesktops. Let me know what you think of the desktops.

What is with the Bush administration? Do they love war or what? Some things needed done after Sept. 11. Whether that is done or not is up for debate. But exactly what are they doing by planning for premtive NUCLEAR strikes against 7 nations. There is no excuse for this county using Nuclear weapons unless it is in responce to a full scale nuclear attack by the only country that can carry that out, Russia. Clearky Russia has no plans to do so. But what Georgi is planning is the possibility of using nuclear weapons in battle. This is unacceptable. I don't care if Sadam Huessain walks into the White house with a nuke straped to his belly and blows up the whole capital. It is not in our country's spirit to use nuclear weapons. We have the largest Army in the world. If we need nuclear weapons then I think the Petagon should declare itself inept, close down, and ask France to defend us. What do you think?

Staci and I had the most wonderful evening yesterday. First we dined at the India Oven. As many of you know- I have a propensity for Indian accents, but one may be surprise to learn I have never had Indian food until last night. It was good. I would not say it was my favorite cuisine, but it tasted good. They need to work on the appearence however. Topping the evening off, was a sudden decision to see a movie. We tried a movie 2 weeks ago when we saw the sequil to Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned. It was a bad movie. Had you asked me that night I would have said it ok. But it really was not good compared to the first. No Brad, no Tom, no good story. Instead we had a half cute Brit and a terrible dead actress Alia? Anyhow- last night we saw Amelie. It is a French flic and excellent! a Jeff/CWRU quality flick. I will not go into details. Just see this movie. It was excellent. Bethany and Ed I think would like it in particular.

What is a future farmer? Staci and I were suppose to go hiking today- but instead she found out YESTERDAY that she had an event at Centenial today. This is a big deal not just because our hike got cancelled but because she needed to find ushers in less that 24 hours during spring break. Anyhow- the event is for the Future Farmers of America or FFA. Its sound similar to the FBLA which John and I were members in high school. The Knapke girls were in FFA I believe. What does one do? In FBLA we took tests about business? Are there farm tests? I bet they test on how to get larger farm subsidies from congress. Hey did you know small farms caused the Dust bowl of the 30's.
