So I had an idea for discussion. Imagine I am Q (for those not familiar with Star Trek Q is a guy that has god like powers without the arrogant moral authority of a god). I snap my figures and in that moment every male's testicles stop producing sperm and every female's ovaries expell at once every egg. This makes every human sterile.
How would this affect life on this planet. As some starting questions:
1. How long till people noticed this had happened?
2. How long till human cloning is attempted?
3. And generally how else would this change life for humans?

It happened again, this upsets me so. I was suppose to get a package today from Apple via FedEx Home Devlivery. But I missed it by 15 minutes. No problem i think. I call to pick up.
No pickup, i can't not allowed. So i did something rash. I drove around looking for a FedEx ground truck. I found one, followed planning on asking the driver if he had my package when he stopped. But the damn guy ran a red light and I had to stop. So I lose him.
Next I go to the local FedEx place. They dont do "home delivery". Its at another location which is close. I go there- the door is locked and its dark.
DAMN THE FEDEX!!!!!
You know how many UPS trucks I passed driving around? Now thats a shipping company.

Oh this upsets me so. My day was ruined.

Got back from a conference in Nashville yesterday. It went well, but after talking with some economists and getting their advice I have come to a difficult decision. I believe its going to take me 5 years to finish my Ph.D. I could finish in 4 but they all recomennded taking more time so my work would be more developed.

So alas Staci and I are destined to be stuck in Tucson another 3 years...

Well, I am back in the states. I will try to post some pictures from the trip this week.

All in all a good conference and a good trip. Paris was not the same without Beth, Chuck, & Staci however.
