Todd, I have an economic question regarding gas prices. The raising gas prices have been in the news for years now, it seems and no one seems all that pissed about it. How high to gas prices have to get before people get actually pissed off and make a fuss instead of just rolling their eyes and talk about it at the water cooler.
Anyway, the economics part - if everyone in the country boycotted gas on a single day, say Sep. 1st (or even better, Sep. 11th) what affect would it have? Any? Now, this is unrealistic, I realize. So what percentage of people would I need for my boycot to make a splash? What would 25% of the nation do? What if I could get 60% of people to boycott? 90%? |
